Malaysia Airlines to Transfer Domestic Routes to Firefly

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 08/23/2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Malaysia Airlines (MH) will be extending its MHflypass and MHshuttle offerings to passengers, which are typically offered exclusively to its MH Explorer members, to passengers of its sister airline Firefly (FY) as well. Passengers will be able to purchase these offerings from 23 August 2023 onwards.

The MHflypass is valid for a year from the date of purchase and allows travelers to plan their trips in advance, with unlimited access to Firefly's domestic routes within East Malaysia, namely Kota Kinabalu (BKI), Kuching (KCH), Miri (MYY), Sandakan (SDK) and Tawau (TWU).

The MHshuttle, on the other hand, has a shorter validity of only 30 days from the date of purchase and offers travelers on Firefly's flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and either Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri, Sandakan or Tawau a complimentary one-way flight on the same day of travel, to connect seamlessly to other domestic destinations within East Malaysia.

The MHflypass and MHshuttle will be available for purchase on both Malaysia Airlines' and Firefly's websites, mobile apps and sales offices. Members of Malaysia Airlines' loyalty programme, Enrich, can also earn and redeem Enrich Points when purchasing these offerings.

This move is part of Malaysia Aviation Group's (MAG) ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and provide greater flexibility to its customers. By extending these offerings to Firefly, MAG aims to make it easier for travelers to explore East Malaysia and experience the unique destinations it has to offer.
